The darkest corners of a disturbed mind

Nous told me yesterday that when she's really, *really* tired, she experiences a particular mental picture. It's happened since she was a kid, and it's always the same picture she gets.

The picture, apparently, is of an elephant with a piece of nylon string tied between its tail and its trunk, and suspended in mid-air by the string.

I asked her to draw me a picture of it:

This is what my baby sees when she's tired. Does that seem fucking ODD to anyone else?
